Our office
opened on Capitol Hill over 30 years ago. While we have
been acquired and/or merged several times, our management
and much of our sales staff has remained the same for
that entire time. You can’t beat experience with
a progressive outlook!
Today, our office is owned by the Realogy
Corporation (1) a global provider of real estate and
relocation services (the largest real estate company
in the United States) and we are operated by the National
Realty Trust (NRT LLC)(2) as a Coldwell Banker Residential
Brokerage company – Coldwell Banker Residential
Brokerage Mid-Atlantic. Merging the former PARDOE Real
Estate, O’Connor, Piper and Flynn, Coldwell Banker
Realty Pros and Coldwell Banker Stevens, we have created
one of the largest real estate companies in the region.
More importantly, as we have changed
our name, we have fiercely protected our local roots
and our local identity. Since our doors opened 30 years
ago, we have built our reputation and our business around
superlative service, community involvement and the best
sales associates in the industry. As an “urban”
broker, we recognized early that we could play a significant
role in the development of Capitol Hill and our surrounding
neighborhoods. As our community progressed, it only
made sense that our business would progress. Through
good times and bad, we have remained true to this principle.
Over the past 30 years, we have contributed
several hundreds of thousands of dollars and invested
thousands of hours in community service to our neighborhood.
We have provided our local public and private schools
over $200,000 in financial support. We provided the
seed money and the effort to start the Capitol Hill
Children’s Baseball League. We still provide leadership
and funds to this organization that now provides athletic
opportunities for hundreds Capitol Hill boys and girls.
We helped to found the Capitol Hill Community Foundation
and still contribute financially and with significant
human resources. We also have provided leadership and
financial support to our premier Capitol Hill business
organizations – the Capitol Hill Business Improvement
District (BID), the Capitol Hill Association of Merchants
and Professionals (CHAMPS) and the Barracks Row Association.
For a more comprehensive list of organizations
that we have historically supported, please see the
associated statement of “Corporate Responsibility.”
This consistent community support has
been paid back to our offices in spades. Our loyalty
to the community has been reciprocated with ever increasing
business support from our friends and neighbors.
Our office has grown and changed with
the times. We currently have over 60 fulltime sales
associates and have leased additional space so that
we can continue to grow as new opportunities for expansion
present themselves. Our agents are among the most technologically
proficient and efficient agents in the industry. Our
company has made a commitment unsurpassed in the industry
to the technological advancement of our agents and our
office and our company.
We consistently surpass $400,000,000
in gross sales annually with an average transaction
price of over $650,000. Over 70% of our business is
within a 15 block radius of the Capitol. The balance
is primarily in Northwest Washington and Northern Virginia
and the closer in suburbs of Maryland. Our office is
also one of the designated offices for Cartus Relocation
Services and for USAA which translate into over 10,000
in-bound referrals to our company each year.
Our office has been involved in some
of the highest profile sales in the Capitol Hill area.
Several years ago, we listed and sold the first $1.0Million
property on the Hill – a real landmark. More recently,
our office successfully marketed the Lovejoy lofts,
the Bryan School condominiums, the Ellen Wilson Dwellings
and the Lenox School development.
Our office is growing and expanding
with the vast emerging marketplaces that surround our
core marketplace – Capitol Hill.
